We know your time is valuable

At North Florida Bone & Joint Specialists, our goal is to make each visit as efficient as possible for our patients. Our on-site services cover a wide array of needs, from state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostics to occupational and physical therapy and more.

Imaging & Diagnostic Services

The latest imaging and diagnostics are available at all of our locations.

To make visits as convenient as possible, our Gulf Breeze offices, located at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, and our Pensacola locations on 9th Ave. and Davis Hwy. offer state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostics, including CT scanners.

Providing patients with on-site access reduces travel time to additional appointments, processing time, and costs. The availability of equipment such as Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at our Gulf Breeze and 9th Ave. locations allows for a quick, inexpensive alternative to MRIs, while our Foot & Ankle Center on Davis Hwy. office features the region’s first weight-bearing CT scanner.

Certified Hand Therapy Services

We offer Certified Hand Therapy services at our Hand Center offices on 9th Ave. in Pensacola and Suite 209 at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze.

Together, our fellowship-trained hand surgeons and highly skilled Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) will plan an effective treatment regimen to help alleviate symptoms, regain freedom of movement and decrease pain in their upper extremities.

Hand Therapists are board-certified in Occupational Therapy with an added qualification in Hand Therapy. This is done through on-the-job training in the hand therapy arena, and they must pass a certification examination based on hand and upper extremity therapy practice.

Our CHTs perform assessments and evaluations in a client-centered, comprehensive approach. They may include musculoskeletal, sensory, cognitive or perceptual evaluation and vascular, skin or connective tissue assessment. Relevant medical, vocational, and/or avocational history intake is also performed along with psychosocial, environmental and other factors that may influence rehabilitation outcomes. A comprehensive plan of care may include a combination of the following:

  • Therapeutic Activities and Exercise
  • Post-Surgical/Injury Education
  • Scar and Pain Management
  • Sensory Re-Education
  • Joint Protection and/or Energy Modification
  • Training in Activities of Daily Living
  • Training in Adaptive or Assistive Devices (nerve injury/stroke)
  • Custom Orthosis Fabrication

Physical Therapy Services

Our Foot & Ankle Center on Davis Hwy. in Pensacola, our Midway location, and our office in Fort Walton Beach offer in-house physical therapy services for our patients.

We are committed to ensuring our patients receive the best treatment available, and we believe physical therapy plays a vital role in recovery. Our physicians and physical therapists work closely together to provide a team approach to develop and offer individualized treatment plans that address our patients’ specific needs and goals.

Whether you require a conservative care approach or post-operative rehabilitation, our team is here to provide up-to-date, evidence-based treatment techniques. We specialize in creating an individualized treatment plan focusing on a manual/hands-on approach in combination with exercises and functional activities to restore and improve health and your quality of life. Our goal is for you to return to the most healthy and active lifestyle possible.

Take control of your health.

Our offices offer same-day visits in our facilities as well as telehealth appointments. We are equipped with the latest on-site imaging and diagnostic equipment, and do not require a referral.
